A brief History

1920 The city of Forssa decided to establish a local electricity Company.

1993 All operations were transferred to Forssan Energia Ltd, a company owned by the city.

1999 Vapo Ltd bought the company from the city.

2006 All operations related to electricity networks were separated into a new company called Forssan Verkkopalvelut ltd.

2008 Vapo Ltd sold Forssan Verkkopalvelut Ltd to an Infrastructure Fund managed By Enfia Infrastructure Ltd.

2010 Valkeakosken Energia Ltd and Sallila Energia-concern (Sallila Sähkönsiirto Ltd) bought the whole capital stock of Suomen Paikallisverkot Ltd from Enfia Infrastructure Fund I l.p.. Both parties now own 50% of Suomen Paikallisverkot Ltd, which, in turn, owns 100% of Forssan Verkkopalvelut Ltd.

2012 Suomen paikallisverkot Ltd was merged into Forssan Verkkopalvelut Ltd.
